About Paschal & Deb Karl

I received my first training as a photographer while in the U.S. Navy in the early 70's. Since then it has been 35 years of trying to learn the skills and the art of photography. But in the typical '' full bore '' approach of an Aries I have pursued many adventures in life, usually athletic and outdoors. And through all the ebbs and flows of these different activities I have always returned to photography.

One of the great joys of this journey is being able to share this passion with Debbie, my wife of 30 years! She started and has learned from me and now like all good photographers she has her own style and vision. Over the years the two of us have shot a lot of outdoor scenics and wildlife. We travel a lot and the cameras are always rolling. We have shot weddings,portraiture,reunions and other special events, and these all present their own challenges.

Now lately we have been doing a lot of photography in the field of endurance racing on horses. Deb and I have been competing over 15 years in this sport and of course the cameras are always near by. And all it took was a gentle nudge by Michelle Smith asking for some more ''artistic'' equine shots and the creative juices are bubbling up again with a new challenge! Enjoy..... Paschal Karl
